HCWH-Asia Conducts Round-Table Talk on Health Care Waste Management

This month, members of various health care organizations and stakeholders attended a round-table talk on waste management conducted by Health Care Without Harm-Asia in Manila.

Joining them were around thirty representatives from the Philippines' Department of Health (DOH) and Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR). The attendees discussed the DENR and DOH's Joint Adminsitrative Order No. 2, series of 2005.

Among the milestones accomplished during the round-table talk were to get updates and revisit the joint administrative order. Efforts were also initiated to bring local government units (LGUs) into the discussion.  A technical working group was also planned to review the said administrative order.
