As part of the Healthy Energy Initiative, Health Care Without Harm, together with Community Environmental Monitoring (a program of The Other Media) in India, are hosting a half-day event on "Climate Change, Air Quality and Health: Impacts of Energy Choices." The event will take place on February 10, 2015, from 9:30 AM - 1:00 PM, as a satellite session just prior to the start of the 14th World Congress on Public Health in Kolkata, India.

The Satellite Session seeks to bring together public health researchers, policymakers, advocates, educators, and students to engage in a critical dialogue on the health impacts of energy choices. It will address the opportunities to promote public health while addressing energy development needs and climate change. While the focus will be on health and energy choices in India, speakers and participants from around the world will provide complementary perspectives.

The event is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is strongly recommended due to space limitations. Pre-register now!
